Morphisec Launches Women in Cybersecurity Scholarship Program

BE’ER SHEVA, ISRAEL, October 30, 2017 – Morphisec, the leader in Moving Target Defense-based cybersecurity, today announced the launch of their Women In Cybersecurity Scholarship Program. The company is offering three scholarships for female students enrolled or enrolling in cybersecurity-related studies to encourage and support young women exploring a career in this field.

The program was initiated by Morphisec’s VP of Product Netta Schmeidler and she serves as chairperson of the scholarship committee. “Cybersecurity is a great career for women. The work is demanding and fast-paced but inherently flexible as to work day structure as well as types of work available: from deep research to sales, marketing and high level management,” says Schmeidler. “And the industry needs more women. Their diverse voices, viewpoints, and opinions help drive innovation, improvement and resilience.”

The program launch coincides with the 14th annual National Cyber Security Awareness Month, a joint initiative of the DHS and the National Cyber Security Alliance. This year, for the first time, it focuses not just on awareness of cybersecurity issues and staying safe, but encouraging students to explore cybersecurity careers.

“Women are severely underrepresented in the field of cybersecurity to the detriment, we believe, of the industry as a whole,” says Morphisec CEO Ronen Yehoshua. “Morphisec would not be on the growth and innovation trajectory it is today without Netta and the other amazing women on our team.”
