Morphisec Selected by Yaskawa Motoman Robotics for Advanced Threat Prevention in Its Security Stack
Powerful prevention coupled with zero degradation on endpoint performance catapults Morphisec’s Moving Target Defense ahead of other cybersecurity solutions

BE’ER SHEVA, Israel, August 23, 2016 – Morphisec today announces that Yaskawa Motoman Robotics, division of Yaskawa America Inc., has chosen the cybersecurity startup as its provider for advanced threat protection in its security stack. Morphisec’s Advanced Threat Prevention product was selected as the layer of exploit mitigation and cyber threat prevention and is currently being rolled out adjacent to a tier-one malware prevention and remediation product.

“Cost, complexity and reliability, as well as minimal disruption to the end users were major factors in our decision,” said Jeff Magnuson, I.T. Architect at Yaskawa America Inc., Motoman Robotics Division. “With Morphisec, we found a rare combination of powerful prevention and total compatibility with the Motoman working environment. In my experience, I have never seen a piece of enterprise security software that has been so easy and fast to deploy with practically zero configuration required and no effect on endpoint performance. We are very pleased with our decision to partner with Morphisec.”

Motoman previously used a tier-one Anti-Virus solution and was interested in adding a layer of Malware and Exploit Mitigation in addition to their AV product to protect against advanced cyber threats, APT and ransomware to secure customers’ valuable data. Highlighting Morphisec’s configuration speed, Motoman was able to deploy in a record time, check the environment was stable within a couple of days, package the product and just roll it out. This announcement illustrates continued growth and momentum for Morphisec, who announced the general availability of its Endpoint Protection product earlier this year and was designated a 2016 Gartner Cool Vendor, among other accolades.

“Motoman needs to be one step ahead of cyber criminals yet operates in a highly technical work environment, where users have local admin rights, and which has many types of CAD systems and freeware downloaded by engineers.  While it is a lean company with lean IT and security resources, it is a distributed environment and neither performance degradation nor disruption of end user work is acceptable,” said Ronen Yehoshua, Morphisec CEO.  “An augmentation of Anti-Virus with a lean prevention stack from Morphisec gives Motoman protection against both known and unknown threats very effectively. It allows Motoman to be consistently ahead of attackers so their teams can focus on continued innovation.”

Morphisec has been lauded by industry leaders for its disruptive, powerful and simple value proposition. Its Moving Target Defense technology provides value for enterprises and medium size businesses concerned with advanced attacks on their endpoints or lack of protection due to delayed patching, keeping organizations consistently ahead of attacks.

About Morphisec

Emerging from Israel’s national cybersecurity center, Morphisec makes endpoint threat prevention viable again. Morphisec terminates the kill chain at its very onset, stopping and neutralizing zero-days, advanced attacks, evasive file-based and file-less malware, ransomware, APTs and web-borne exploits before they can do any damage. Morphisec’s Moving Target Defense technology morphs the runtime environment randomly and without any trace, hiding targets and trapping all attempts at accessing them. Attackers simply cannot find the targets they seek.
